Scandal: Kolomoisky at Judge Barsuk’s Wedding - Conflict of Interest or Coincidence?

Kolomoisky was a guest at the wedding of Northern Appellate Commercial Court judge Marinka Barsuk, who made decisions on a number of cases in which he was involved.

According to the Unified State Register of Court Decisions, Judge Barsuk made decisions on two cases related to Kolomoisky.

The first is related to the lawsuit filed by the Nikopol Ferroalloy Plant against PrivatBank.

In 2009, PrivatBank provided a $36.1 million loan to a plant that would be linked to Kolomoisky. By a ruling of the Northern Commercial Court of Appeal, $35 million of the debt was cancelled.
